Ask yourself a question how do you want to feel?

On this week’s episode, I have attended my very first LONDON FASHION WEEK (all caps are necessary).

2 days, multiple shows, and a very friendly community.

Last bit is extremely important. I had the privilege to attend fashion week shows since I was a teen (my wonderful mother worked for a designer which allowed me access to a few shows). I still remember the thrill of the crowd gathering around the runway path to get the best spot one minute and another, the lights going off with only projectors on. The magic would begin and my 14 year old self would consume every single detail of that magic.

Special shout out to Volkova PR agency for having me.

Now, being able to attend London shows, half a year earlier than I planned (yes, it is on my Bingo for 2025), had been more than magnificent. I am no longer 14, but the magical feeling never left. Like a sponge I was taking in all the models, paying attention to all the details, and once again feeling in my element. One collection that would live in my head rent-free in Ukrainian brand DEMN.

Events like this make all the hard work behind the scene worth it and prove me every single time that I was so right to listen to my gut and quit corporate world to follow my dream. Turns out fashion is my profession (lmao). But the most important thing I wanted to point out about this particular experience is how simply wonderful the audience was.

Special shoutout to Dennis, my girl is absolutely stunning and our love for consuming red colour what caused a new beautiful friendship to be born. And overall the amount of everyone just mixing together, giving out compliments, and taking photos just made me so happy.

When I started my journey as a personal stylist, I thought that my close friends would be so strong on supporting me and believing in me, where in reality, I receive more encouragement from acquaintances and people I have never met. Don’t get me wrong, some of my people are in my corner and supporting the shit out of me, but some made me question the dynamics.

And you might feel the same way when it comes to starting rediscovering yourself. They keep saying you have to kill a part of your old self in order to have room for new you, and I agree. It’s a year of a snake so it about damn time you shed that old skin in order to grow new. And you might lose some people along the way. And that’s okay, not everyone should be in your life forever. They serve purpose and if that doesn’t feel organic anymore — you gotta let them go. Of course there might be a strong reaction, however, I want you to keep in mind — This is just a reaction. This is not a solution. (Son’s of Anarchy is the series of the week, we all know why I watch it. One person and one person only). At the end of the day we all can use a bit of art of not giving a f*ck. And if they ask you why — tell them Aya made me do it.

The solution would be to choose yourself and move forward. And what’s the best way to it then starting by cleaning your closet? If you need help, this is exactly what one of the topics in Hot Mama Bakery in March. Can’t spill more details, but can say it would feel like I am there with you in person, holding your hand. Decluttering is the answer. As a spiritual girly, I cannot stop repeating how important it is to get rid of old things that no longer serves you. By decluttering your closet you also will be decluttering your mind.

Clear vision, baby.

And I want you to ask yourself a question. How do you want to feel moving forward? Spare me the answer where you say what you don’t want or “will never wear”. That is the most common answers I get when working with clients one-on-one. Because if I am being completely honest with you, you can invest, and I can create you hundreds of looks based on your budget and current wardrobe, but if you are not committed to sticking to this new habit — there is nothing I can do on my end. Basically how Hot Mama Bakery project was born.

I am here to provide you with knowledge and all the key tools to do the work, and you should choose yourself in order to do the work. I will be here, though, holding your hand throughout the way x

That’s all.

Okay, love you, bye xo

Your slightly nonchalant and reborn fashion stylist,

Aya x
